Republicans do not understand the English language. |
|
Words mean nothing to them.
They do understand actions. If the President goes to their districts and puts the heat on them and their next election, they will understand that.
A speech does nothing for them. They have to feel the pressure. Once they see that the voters in their districts are tired of the bullshit, they will become much more agreeable.
The President gave a really good speech. However, the Republicans have changed nothing. They still do not want to give this President anything until the next election is over. That is the reality. Unless they can be made to feel the pressure of the voters, it will remain the reality.

1. Repubs understand the English language but they also know the average voter does not. |

That is how and why they win the messaging wars.

3. Attitudes like that are why we get called "elitist". |
|
I guess you think the average American communicates in grunts since you think they don't understand English? :eyes:

4. There is a problem with that |
|
the republicans think a person making $1 billion/year is hard working and deserves that pay (such as a hedge fund manager) they think of them as elite So where is the disconnect?? They think of their politicians as well educated and elite
