Charge against Hutaree militia members stands

Michigan
Members of the Michigan-based Hutaree militia failed Wednesday to persuade U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Komives in Detroit to recommend dismissal of a seditious conspiracy charge against them.

Nine people were charged last spring with conspiracy to commit rebellion against the U.S. and other crimes. Defense attorneys have argued that no rebellion was afoot, just offensive comments about law enforcement. They say it's free speech.

1. They are going to prison
After the death of Judge Roll and the assassination attempt on Gabby, threats will be taken seriously. Judges will be going after violent rhetoric.
