Did anyone see Chimpy on that CNN 9/11 documentary last night? |
|
He was on it being interviewed 10 years later, along with Evil Dick, Tom Brokaw, and various survivors and widows, etc. He described what was the most nervous moment of his entire presidency...and he said...wait for it...it was whether or not he might bounce the ball up to home plate when throwing out the first pitch at the 2001 World Series. Because he might get booed.
That was it. Not the moment Andy Card whispered in his ear, or when he announced he was taking America into war against Iraq, or any moment during the Katrina crisis...or anything else. The single most nerve-wracking moment in the Chimp's entire pResidency....was worrying about getting booed if he bounced the first pitch up to home plate at Yankee Stadium. Un-belieeee-vable.
That about sums it up, doesn't it?

2. A simple man who was placed in the presidency... |

To do a simple job:
Destroy the United States as we knew it. In that, he was a success.

9. No, each person was interviewed separately. |
|
Would've been interesting to see though. When I heard him say it I almost thought I didn't hear him correctly...but then I thought...oh yeah, it's Dubbya. Of course he just said that.

5. Did Brokaw giggle at the answer? |

After all, he loves Bush because he was the anti-Boomer (you know, those people that led such "excessive" lives.

6. Back in November 2000 I made a (now frightening) prediction. . . |
|
"Bush as a president will fail us as a nation in a time of crisis"
I felt he was too lightweight and not enough gravitas for the job of POTUS.
Unfortunately, for all of us, I was proven correct, not just for 9/11 but other things (Iraq, Hurricane Katrina)

7. Well, as he had said a few years ago, 9/11 was an "interesting day" |
|
3000 Americans lose their lives because of his criminal incompetence or deliberate malfeasance by not reacting to the intel - take your pick. Lets not forget how funny the lack of WMD was to Bush when he made that disgusting video of himself looking for them in the Oval Office....basically, a 'fuck you' to the American people who knew that his lies to invade Iraq should have been the basis for a war crimes prosecution.

one of the better parts from the last regime. It boiled down his whole Presidency perfectly and it is on video for the historians.

14. I think that sounds eminently reasonable. |
|
After all, throwing out the pitch at a baseball game was something he had to do himself. The rest, 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, Katrina etc was something his puppet masters took care of.
