Hail did $9,000 in damage to house & my car

The Omaha area has all kinds home repair salesmen going door to door.

We are out $1,500 on the deductibles. It could have been much worse.

I wish it had been our old insurance company that I didn't care for. Don't ask.

We switched to Hartford through AARP in May and are very happy campers.

The AARP Consumer Cellular phone is a great deal too.

5. Did the flood waters from the Missouri just recently recede? Or is that still
a problem?
Man - you guys have had more than your share.

The Missouri River at Omaha has fallen below flood stage for the first time since late May.

The shrinking river fell below 29 feet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and continued dropping to 28.88 feet by late afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

The river level is expected to fluctuate about one- to two-tenths of a foot for the rest of the weekend, said Scott Dergan, meteorologist with the weather service office in Valley, Neb.

Dergan said the flood warning will remain in effect for river communities until the Missouri River is “a good deal below flood stage.”

“Just because it's below 29 feet doesn't mean the all-clear can be sounded,” Dergan said.
