Drunk on 9/11
I dont need to try to remember where I was or what I was doing. I was knee deep in boring Defense Intel on 9/10 and a month later I was vetting projects for the upcoming warS in a country that had nothing whatsoever to do with a bunch of Saudis with boxcutters (if you buy the official story).

I know a lot of good people died and I salute them and feel bad for their family, but please save me the rah rah USA shit today. It was a con so that a bunch of people could get through their plans for imperialism and profiteering for the military industrial war pigs

Send me to the dungeon, I dont care, but Im not flaq waving today.

15. why it's tougher to believe that
than Obama was born in Kenya I have no idea. Something wasn't right about 9/11 in the first place

3. I agree -- this has zero to do with the US..other than that people hated
Edited on Sun Sep-11-11 03:20 PM by Laura PourMeADrink
us enough to attack us. The saddest part was Bush let ALL the goodwill we had on 9/12/01 evaporate and
our further actions left thousands upon thousands just as dead as our innocent citizens on 9/11.

This day should only be focused on the families who died (all over the world)

And prayers that we will not kill again

4. I've seen nothing on the 9/11 memorials but don't object to those
who do watch or listen to them.

Many will find it therapeutic.

Different strokes----------.

5. I feel exactly the same way!
I just can't watch one second of the 911 media frenzy because of what I believe what really happened that day.

Oh yeah, and also, the fact that we're killing innocent children all over the world every day. How can Americans have one ounce of pride left?

Thanks for the reality check.

6. You were doing Iraq war planning in October 2001?
Or Afghanistan? Or neither of the above? Can you share some details on that, please?

Aside from the scientific stuff .. was a psychologist who studies essentially propaganda.. that too was great..

If your head can stand it.. I think they are putting it on youtube.

11. Rah, rah shit is right. I went to pick up some milk at Walmart - all
Edited on Sun Sep-11-11 05:49 PM by jwirr
along the road I saw flags on various buildings at half mast. That was fine as it adequately expressed the sorrow over both the deaths that day and the ones in the war that followed. So I walk into wm and first thing you see is this table of red, white and blue goodies and flags and balloons for sale. I and another woman stopped to look at it, shared a frown and I said "is this a celebration?" She smiled and said NO.

This is Walmart's take on what happened 10 years ago - something to celebrate?

16. Like the Great Yogurt said its merchandising that makes the profits in the movie!
Yogurt: Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made. Spaceballs-the T-shirt, Spaceballs-the Coloring Book, Spaceballs-the Lunch box, Spaceballs-the Breakfast Cereal, Spaceballs-the Flame Thrower.

Dink, Dink, Dink, Dink, Dink, Dink: Ooooh!
Yogurt: The kids love this one.

Yogurt: And last but not least, Spaceballs the doll, me.

Doll: May the schwartz be with you!
Yogurt: Adorable.

That is after all what all the Holidays come down to now days!

12. I welcome you in the dungeon if you end up there. I got sent there for a similar post.
But I felt rather well-received once I got relocated there.

So there is a sense of community at least.

And I agree with your post.

I'm not only not flag-waving today, but I'm probably done with that particular exercise pretty much from here on out.

Cheers for a nice and bold post.
