I am not of that belief, or perhaps I will just not be silenced. Silence is the enemy.

45. She's on a computer all day at work
so the last thing she wants to see is a computer in the evenings.
If you knew her you'd know why I love her like I do. So sweet and pleasant. We first fell in love when I returned home from 'Nam but I was bug nuts at the time fresh home from the war and I knew I couldn't make a go of it at the time so we remained friends and she married and had two son, my stepsons and 20 years ago after she divorced we got together again and here we are today happily married riding off into the sunset.
A few years ago for her I quit my drinking ass ways and never have been happier.

Obama bumper sticker + some crazy fool who thought it fun to ride my ass all the way down a winding country road.

Speed limit, 50 but doing 55. Asshole did not pass me, he clearly didn't want to. Too much fun to scare the shit out of the stupid librul.

I really didn't expect that but now my cherry's been popped and I'm much more cautious now.

Even though I don't always post it, I agree with you a majority of the time.

I know you asked if people were still showing the support of the Democratic Party/politicians with bumperstickers, etc. and I think it's wonderful that some people feel comfortable enough to do so but there are also some of us who don't feel as comfortable. We're not cowards and I'd hate to think that we have a kindof contest on who is braver than who contest going on.

So I may seem to come off as a smartarsed, combative person, I'm not. I experienced something that wasn't too pleasant and feel that my life and the life of those riding in my car are a little more important than showing out.

Keep doing what ya do Lonestarnot!

Edit for sentence structure.

So no, I don't have stickers on my car.

20. I do and A Story
My husband and I were on our way to our daughter's house in SW Ohio when noticed a van in front of us with Democratic stickers on it. I was hoping to pass it and give it a thumbs up, but for some reason we just kept following it, and following it, and following it until it parked in front of my daughters house. It was my son in law's parents. They are a bright spot in Boehnerland.

31. Got a DU and an Obama and a couple local candidates
I don't get scared much.
Back in 2004 I made my (locally) famous "Worst President Ever " shirt.
Was wearing it when we broke for lunch. Went to a larger area city for lunch at a pizza joint. I was stared at when we went in. I had forgotten I had my shirt on.
Right after I got a plate of food and sat down a guy came over and slapped me on my back and thanked me for wearing this shirt. Followed by some others. The wait person told me the kitchen staff would make me whatever pizza I wanted......
That day I was scared. Not so much any more.

Not sure why Americans feel the need to tell everyone, via their cars, what their political beliefs are, what their favorite charities are, and how many kids/cats/dogs they have. My car exists to get me from point a to point b, not to be a rolling match.com profile.

but then with the vitriol down here I removed them both after the 2008 election. I lived in downtown Houston and now out in the suburbs and never had any vandalism. But as the talk got more violent after 2008 I decided it just wasn't worth it.

64. It's interesting...
For around four years I had "Hail to the Thief!," "Re-Elect Gore in 2004," and "Friends Don't Let Friends Vote Republican" stickers on my car, living most of the time down here in southeast Texas, and the worst I ever got was a guy who gave me a "thumbs down" signal. (Actually a pretty polite way to express disapproval, IMHO.) Maybe the fact that this place is as apolitical and apathetic as it is conservative worked to my benefit...

76. Yes, but that is the route we have been going down
over the last 20 years. I call this a cold civil war for a reason.

And for the record we just don't do the bumper sticker shitck. The only time we did was a very local issue and used magnets. We did not feel like dealing with the paint job

75. When I put my first Obama stickers on the car
I realized that the letters didn't appear the same to right wingers. I saw "Obama", they saw "cuss me out and throw rocks at my car". So, when I got a newer car a while back, I didn't put an Obama sticker on it. I put three, one on each side, one on the back. Also stickers for my senators and governor and some local candidates. It's quite colorful, and I live in Ken "I don't wear high heels" Buck's town.

I could care less if the chickenhawk brigade acts up I'll smack them on the nose.

I will always be prepared, never ready but prepared.

83. Ive never had any stickers on my vehicle, because I have never been
a fan of them. But I do have the DU bumper sticker on my fridge, and I live in a VERY freeper area (Ron Pauls home district) so I always watch to see people's reaction who are in my home for various reasons (plumbers, repairmen etc).

The only sticker I have right now is my Medicare one, the same one as on my DU signature. I haven't removed it. Screw them.

99. Yes I do and there's nothing to be afraid of.
Tennessee Rethugligans are cowards for the most part, sublimating their below-the-waist insufficiencies with cold steel.

My Obama and DU stickers are still in my truck window. I caught some Rethug offspring stealing my homemade "Eat the Rich" bumpersticker but they ran away before discovering that 61 year old hippies still pack a punch.
