Since you cut off your post at the point where the products recalled are listed, we need a link to this.

Note that this press release can be quoted in full.

Never mind. I posted the link below in the next message. However, in the future, please include links to such information.

You can find the list of products recalled there. This is the official announcement from Cargill. They list a few of the products, but have a link to a complete list.

3. Now was this recall instigated by the FSIS or voluntary??
This is the second recall for turkey products, the earlier one was for 43 million pounds and took two or three months to announce. By that time of course, most of the meat was consumed or disposed of. People were sickened, some died. But, it took the federal agency a long time to announce the recall. I am interested in knowing if the fed is finally doing its job again. the BUSHIES spent so much time permeating the agencies with political hacks and unqualified individuals that it corrupted the whole system which was of course its intent. Render the fed impotent and INDUSTRY corporate types can get away with anything, include going to jail for bribery, malfeasance and dereliction of duties. It really pisses me off sometime, realizing that these fools are taking their good paying govt salaries and sitting on their behinds and doing nothing for the money.

USDA tests that showed the contamination. They've shut down the Arkansas plant that was the source of this contaminated turkey.

5. I fed the Honeysuckle White turkey
to my dogs from that recalled batch that I bought from Kroger. Apparently, it was OK because my dogs did not get sick.

8. Just because something has salmonella doesn't mean you'll get it
Cook thoroughly, wash hands after handling raw stuff. Handle all raw stuff carefully. Ate a bunch of the "contaminated", but unaffected because of standard food safety measures--still sucks for people not being 100% alert 100% of the time. We're living in The Jungle 2.0.

It's much worse when it is in veggies and nuts because a lot of people are used to eating those raw.

11. All meat cooked thoroughly.
Veggies are far riskier and we're living in The Jungle 2.0 because Republicans hate any regulation and Democrats keep ceding them the high ground in hopes of getting Republican votes that they're never, ever going to get.
