Drag Races - DC Area.
Question for DC residents (or anyone that has been to big city Drag Races)

My SO wants to take her son to the DC area Drag Races (not the car kind, the fun dress in drag kind) next week. It is on a school night.

Now...my opposition has nothing to do with the sexuality - just the probable drunkenness that comes with such events.

So...for anyone that has attended these events - what is the level of drunken debauchery and is it a place for a 12 year old kid?

2. Check it out on youtube -
- here's one from 2009 High heel "Drag Race" in DC. http://youtu.be/KfXwULBPUkA

I wouldn't permit my 12 year old. It's on a school night and - even without drunken debauchery - there's lots of sexual innuendo, body parts exposure, etc. that I just don't feel is necessary or appropriate for a 12 year old. Of course there's drinking but its probably kept controlled since this is a public event. Imagine there are cops everywhere.

16 year old would be a different matter. But, hey, that's just my opinion.

3. Probable drunkeness, and adult content. The kid is 12.

4. Yeah...
...that is my argument - but since he is my step-son, I do not have a veto power.

Thanks
