Spartacus star Andy Whitfield dies of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

This is such a tragedy. He was only 39 years old. I'm sure that everyone can join me in wishing condolences to his family.

I got addicted to "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" even though it had a lot of gratuitous violence. I first came to know Andy from his starring role in the movie "Gabriel." Everyone who knew him said that we was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family and his work. He will be sorely missed.

just as he gets a role in which he thrives. Such a wait of amazing talent.

2. damniT! He was PERFECT for that role...
he should so much emotion in his acting... rage with tears, very believable. He was a fine actor, and I don't they will be able to replace him with anyone better. Never thought I'd be this responsive to actor passing away.
