Tina Dupuy: Obama best GOP president since Lincoln
"Historians agree the best Republican president was also the first: Abraham Lincoln. Who’s second runner up? Which president has represented Republican values best? Easy. President Barack Obama."
<http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/2011/sep/11/obama-is-best-gop-president-since-lincoln/>

A very succinct, accurate description of Obama's record to date, a record which isn't going to be endangered by this current "job creation" bill.

1. Unrec for the comedian saying about the Democratic President
The socialist Nazi radical current occupant of the White House — Barack Hussein Obama! He’s a wonderful Republican.

This kind of crap does not belong here or on any Democratic site. Take the anti-Obama snide comments and flush them.

3. Well, first of all, apparently you have no sense of humor
If you don't get the fact that she is making fun of people who do think that Obama is a "socialist Nazi radical"

Second of all, sorry, but the truth hurts. Lots of posters have been saying essentially the same thing. Deal with it.

6. Apparantly there is nothing humorous in the article.
Yeah, we know lots of posters say the same thing....it's why it was posted. Deal with it yourself, you don't rule the roost.

9. Hah, you're the one who is worried about roost ruling,
And whatever other middle school hissy fits you're into.

And just because you find no humor in her piece doesn't mean it isn't humorous.

11. You didn't post it as humor or you wouldn't have typed this:
"A very succinct, accurate description of Obama's record to date, a record which isn't going to be endangered by this current "job creation" bill."

Face it, you got called on a trashy piece of crap. There is no way you can twist it now into something else.

16. Didn't say I was posting it as humor
Though it does have humorous qualities, qualities you obviously don't appreciate.

Tell me, can you attack this piece on a factual basis?

19. You can't back away, you posted the piece.
I can attack it on what was written, as I showed in post 1. Do not try to twist this into it's my fault. The tactics are well known, and they won't work.

23. All I'm asking you is can you attack it on a factual basis,
Based on your latest response above, the answer appears to be no, you can't. Enough said.

24. How much more factual do you want?
A direct quote from the article followed by the link is pretty factual.

Again, you try to twist it. You made the mistake of posting the article, I commented.

25. You have yet to point out any facts in the piece that are wrong
You are attacking style, not substance.

28. Wrong. I went directly to the substance.
I cited exactly what was wrong. Do not try to act like I didn't.

30. You have not pointed out a single fact in the piece that was wrong
You have attacked on the style of the piece, not the substance. But of course, you know that as well as I do, you're just trying to cover up the sad truth with bluster and bloviating.

35. LOL, speaking of twisting words,

It is obvious that talking with you is an exercise in futility. You refuse to address the facts, nor the points that I bring up. All you are going to do is try and obfuscate the reality of the situation we're in. So why bother? But next fall, when the election results come in, don't say you weren't warned.

do not assume that all of us are happy with the results, do not assume he will get the same effort again, and do not assume you speak for all the people who voted for Obama in 2008.

There is no number filled in as the last year of his life. Gawd, I just can't believe the lengths people go to so they can say they're right.

15. Do you have any idea how many DUers you just insulted by typing that?
Just because people who voted for him have now seen the light and know they were, once again, LIED TO by a politician and voice that opinion .... doesn't make them liars. So you honestly believe all the people on DU who now are not fond of Obama.... are lying about having voted for him? Interesting take. :eyes:

7. Man, did she hit the nail on the head.
<snip>
How about the GOP-despised EPA? You know, that “job-killing” governmental regulatory agency GOP candidates Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry and Ron Paul all promise will go dark when they become president? That agency’s pinko plot for cleaner air estimated to stop tens of thousands of premature deaths? Gone. And guess who said this about it: “I have continued to underscore the importance of reducing regulatory burdens and regulatory uncertainty, particularly as our economy continues to recover.” Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-Ohio? Maybe Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va.,? Some tea party speaker at some quarter-full rally somewhere? Who said it? The socialist Nazi radical current occupant of the White House — Barack Hussein Obama! He’s a wonderful Republican.

The right wing says Obama is left of Lenin; in reality, he’s barely left of Goldwater.

What does this mean? It means we currently have eight GOP candidates running against what’s essentially a GOP incumbent. It means we have eight mediocre Republican candidates running against the best Republican president since Lincoln. The safe bet is that a Republican will win the next election.

To be clear, I’m not a Republican, but I have undeniably voted for one.<snip>

Seems to me that not many people in power believe in equality these days, hence all the wars for oil and welfare for the wealthy.
