5. Question for the debate? Tax cuts for the rich or reduced benefits in Social Security? |
|
That's the problem with the Tea Party approach.
They want to reduce taxes until the government is starved, unable to do or pay for anything.
They want their Social Security and Medicare, forgetting the government has the money.
Give them a choice...tax cuts for the rich or reduced benefits for Social Security and Medicare.
The Republicans will sugar coat it. The Republicans will say states can do it better. The Republicans will push Social Security and Medicare down to the states. It's easier to kill Social Security and Medicare, one state at a time, then at the Federal level, all at once.
