Did Obama perform a miracle in Tucson? |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-13-11 01:16 PM by Renew Deal
It is being claimed that http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x193426">a "miracle" took place when Congresswoman Giffords opened her eyes. This happened when Obama was there. We already have it documented that President Obama http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=190184&mesg_id=190184">"acts Christ-like." If Obama did perform a miracle, he is one major step closer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonization">canonization. Have political leaders been canonized before? I don't know that it matters. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-4ISw_ZdoUs/SYtwCGHvCbI/AAAAAAAACms/oeT8S4F6Fqc/s400/saint+barack.jpg

5. Look, I like Obama and think he will be reelected ... |
|
but I'm not going to bow at his feet and worship him.
He's a politician and a damn good one but he is not a miracle worker with a direct link to God. His greatest ability is his power to communicate.
The "miracle workers" in this case are the doctors and staff in the hospital.

the President can do a lot of wonderful things... |

But I would say it shows more of Congresswoman Giffords strength to fight.

19. Oh, puhleeze. Crap like this just plays right into the hands of the hatemongers, |
|
who love to claim that Obama's supporters "worship" him (which is patently false).
Mumbo jumbo. Leave it for the pope's people to discuss this.

20. It didn't happen when he was there |
|
He never said it did. He was very clear that he'd left the room.
Of course, it wasn't a miracle.
I think we need to be careful to get this correct because if they RW catches us saying he was there when he wasn't, they'll use the mistake against us.

Somewhere there's a person like Loughner pouring over his bible, reading about how the Antichrist will appear to perform miracles, and polishing his gun.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Don't worry. I'm sure Pat Robertson's all over it.
