OMG, that baby bird must have had to eat constantly. I can't imagine how the young man kept up with the feeding schedule before the birdlet could fly to the feeder and feed him/herself.

A hummerlet must be a bottomless tank.

18. They do. Heart rate goes way down.

They keep some nectar/sugar water in their crop overnight so they can jump start in the morning. They live on a knife edge.

I saw him first. :-) One of those times when character and looks match up.

advert and pictures dropped out of it onto the counter. they were hummingbird pictures. :)
