6. I think we are unfortunately much like we were...
afraid of everything, seeking only the most extreme rightwing solutions.

We needed a rhetorical slap in the face and we got it.

Once again, we are desperately in need of such a rhetorical slap.

Limbaugh openly praise McCarthy and say he was treated unfairly and misrepresented by liberals! No one on their side slaps them down for it, either.

And struck out against organized labor at the same time. He said organized labor was because of communist influence... Quite the Liberal that one...

....and enlisted union support in his campaign -- like the Farmworkers here in California -- which of course was cut short en route to the White House.

He seems to have changed -- actual change -- en route to his Presidential campaign. Which, doubtless, made him that much more of a threat, should he have won...
