PALMDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A Palmdale family says they were shocked when they walked outside Tuesday morning and found a racial slur scrawled on their garage. It reads "I hate Section 8," followed by derogatory words, including the 'N word.'

Ross said she has lived in this home on Section 8 assistance for the last three years. She said everything was fine until she allowed a friend to park his two Hummers in her garage nearly two months ago.

Ross said a friend told her someone posted pictures of the Hummers in her garage on the Facebook page, "I hate Section 8 Houses!!!"

"They basically (said) that I was defrauding the system to get Hummers," Ross said. "They are not my cars. I had people driving taking pictures of my home my kids were outside playing people calling them dirty names."
