She reminds me so much of my nieces. The youngest one is near that age. They all dance, all active at school, all interested and feisty in the community.

11. It really is. How they fit a million people in a lovely college town is beyond me--
but it's a PLEASANT world away from my home of Phoenix. The people are wonderful and it still feels like the little town between Tucson and Phoenix that I grew up in.

7. They are probably still in shock.
Probably only vaguely aware of everything at this point. They are just going through the motions. The shock is a blessing. It helps you to function.
