given to the government and/or its victims or successors in interest. Haven't heard of any corporation being dissolved yet but do not see why that shouldn't be the penalty for corporate crimes of great magnitude.

49. Charter revocation used to happen from time to time, back

in the GOOD OLD DAYS that Republicans are constantly trying to conjure up. Somehow, they want everything to return to that time period, but without those annoying realities like companies being executed through charter revocation. Look it up -- somehow, it just became "forgotten". I'm sure there are folks here at DU who know quite a bit about it.

A year or so ago, Fairpoint was threatened by Vermont with revocation of its Certificate of Public Good, which isn't the same thing, but still would've meant treating a corporate "person" as a culpable agent.

labeled today for defending the people on the balcony at 55 Wall St after finding out they are tourists in a restaurant from a friend who works down that way. He went to check it out - he hates what is going on too. My point being they are tourists, not industry insiders AND could very well support the protest, than not support it.

We all need to be careful of knee jerk judgements - that's what the Right Wing does, lets NOT be like them! :)
