Try filling your Sunday talk shows with Democrats to talk about the positives of the Presidents plan, of what the Dems want to do and have a few less appearances by McCain, Ryan, McConnell, Graham and Cheney (pimping his revisionist history book) and maybe more people would know.

1. Tax Cuts
Seriously. That's the plan.

Which is why I can't take the Plan seriously.

2. Dems don't get to write a plan, until they win the house back. We passed a jobs bill
Edited on Sun Sep-18-11 11:22 PM by SugarShack
in the dem house, and when it got to the Senate, it was killed by four DEMS!!! With Mark Warner leading the way. Our own dems..killed the jobs bill in the senate to bring back jobs from overseas! The repubs must put forth the bills. No jobs bill by a dem will make it out of a committee in a repub house. We need the house. We can write a jobs bill again...and not write bills to end Medicare or privatize soc sec. They are working on seats in the house to go for Ryan plan they lost, and they want to win the Senate to pass it there. Obama, Romney, any other will sign it. They are suppose to if it goes through the legislative process. This won't stop until we get the house back. We better not lose the senate or say bye bye to it all.

3. Of course they can write a plan (in addition to the President's)
ANYONE can write a plan, even you. You just have to get a legislator to be willing to introduce it.

Secondly, I agree with the OP that the Congressional Dems are totally MIA.

4. More trade deals like NAFTA - you know outsourcing US jobs is supposed to
create jobs here in USA. Seriously, that's what the centrists are arguing right now. CEOs say let them send jobs to unregulated labor markets and they'll trickle down some jobs on the profits on the rest of us. History has proven this is pure bullshit.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE MILLIONS OF JOBS LOST TO NAFTA AND CHINA AND INDIA AND "FREE TRADE" - THE PROFIT WENT INTO THE POCKETS OF CEOS WHOSE CORPORATIONS PAY MINIMAL TAXES.

So, of course when democratic centrists and other right wingers say outsourcing jobs and cutting wages for workers while increasing CEO bonus money will help everyone, they are just kissing the asses of their Wall Street masters because that's what they are paid to do.

Goddamn it, we deserve what we get for being so fucking stupid to believe this bullshit from right wingers in both parties.

We are in a ratchet situation where anything Washington does, just tightens the noose around the necks of the non-rich.

Just like the famous stimulus package, the "jobs" bill will flood a few rich people with cash while continuing to neglect the other 299,999,999 people.

6. Good point!
Better yet, why don't Democrats stop their cable subscriptions until the TV stations change their news programming especially on Sunday morning.

9. Yes, this is the whole problem.
It's out there, but the press is refusing to talk about it.
