There Wont Be Demand Until There Are Jobs |
|
..... Is what I had street corner discussion with a hopeful city council candidate this morning who has the support of several well know Re-Thugs.
After 10 minutes I finally had to say....There Wont Be Demand Until There Are Jobs STUPID.....GAWD DAMN what is wrong with these people..I dont even want to have the Chicken/Egg debate with them.
Anyhow I wished him well and said NO SUPPORT HERE and left.

2. there is no chicken/egg debate |
|
Creationists believe the old guy with the beard created chickens (and everything else) out of nothing, so for them the chicken came first.
Evolutionists believe that species mutate and change over time, so at some point a creature which had not quite evolved into a chicken laid an egg which contained a creature which had completely evolved into a chicken, for us the egg came first.
Anyways, you are right. There won't be enough demand for new jobs to be created until demand is increased through spending and there won't be demand through spending until more people are employed, unless the government increases spending to create that demand.

3. yes, it's basic economics. Frankly, it's basic common sense. |
|
But this insane supply-side economics that republicans claim to believe in is still predominant on Capitol Hill.
