We're ready to pay more taxes...
My wife and I have a seven figure household income and we're prepared to pay our fair share. But the only way that's realistically going to happen is to take back the House and hold the Senate. We'll be contributing a godawful amount of money to Democratic candidates and helping them where we can. I hop people here will be doing the same.

3. Cut a check and
make it a PR event. Lead by example and that will cause momentum.

6. I don't agree that you should cut a check for donation to our
government. Whomever opens the envelope will more than likely give it to someone that you really don't want to have it and there would be no way for you to know what happened to it. When McConnell said Buffet should just write a check I think I saw a little bit of drool slide down his chinless chin just thinking about getting his hands on it. How in the world could you or Buffet trust what happened to that money?

7. I totally forgot to add that I admire you for even saying you'd be
willing to pay more taxes. That's a true patriot. Bless you.

4. You have always been willing to step into the void
for fundraisers, feeding the hungry and when people are generally in need. Do not think that has gone unnoticed.

Thank you for giving back. I hope to one day be in the position to follow in your footsteps.

8. I have a 5 figure income and I'm ready to pay more if it would avoid
taxing the lower classes. I mean I've been there and I know... in fact I'm still partially there but I'm willing to sacrifice more taxes in order to help pull us out of this BS and avoid indirectly taxing the most needy right now (cutting medicare and SS)

Damn - we've got to start winning the rhetoric battles. We just can't let them set the rules for the debate anymore!!!!!!

11. I'm with you, I've never paid federal income taxes in my life...that is crazy!!!
It was understandable when I was in school and making less than 15k/year, but now that I'm out in the real world, I find it ridiculous that I don't pay anything in federal income taxes.

I've taken advantage of government services quite a bit over the years (public schools, public transit, etc) and I think I should be asked to pay more. I make less than 30k, so I wouldn't be able to afford a huge tax increase, but I think I should be forced to pay something more.
