FUCK !!!

My hope now, is that this case spurs this country to get rid of this ghoulish death penalty.

3. Whenever they do this I always think 2 things.
"Where can they possibly find someone to pull the switch?" followed by a millisecond later "There are thugs willingly that would line up to do this."

4. Larry Cox of Amnesty said the Supreme's was a cowardly statement.
And of course he's right.

5. I am so with you on this. Gotta say that if Rick Perry were to ever gain entry to the WH
you all better be scared.

6. Yes. A sad day for a family and a nation. Unfortunately, I don't see the DP
going away any time soon. We're sliding into a sort of dark age. Who knows how long it will be until the next enlightenment?

7. Maybe tearing down Obama (which indirectly helps Perry) isn't the best plan of action after all

8. Just a note... on the death penalthy
http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/01/16/the-not-so-fine-art-of-hanging/

This article goes into how it was botched... many times. The last time the country turned away from it, before the USSC ruled against it. it was moved into the prisons.

As it pains me that an innocent man dies tonight... the more of these cases the more that they will horrify most NORMAL people away from it... making it less acceptable.

Unfortunately... people will die.

We should have never brought it back.. but revenge is strong in the US.

13. It's not just one day. Everything is changed.
My faith is shattered. We have no JUSTICE system. We have a black president and a black supreme court justice but a black man still is not guaranteed equal protection and equal justice.

There was a civil rights violations case and another for police misconduct. Obama's DOJ could have investigated. Should have.

I can't write here what I want to say about Clarence Thomas and the idiots he serves with. They're useless, that's all.

I swear if I was one of them, I'd've done something. I sure as hell would have.

16. 110 family members of murder victims signed a letter
asking for clemency for Troy Davis last week. They are this country, too.

17. It is my belief that the president should have used his powers to stop
this execution. However, with an election coming up, sadly no Democrat would dare risk the prospect of being labeled as soft on crime: to wit, can you just imagine how the repugnant ones would have spun that story? :patriot:

19. I think MOST days in this country SUCK. What's so good about it anymore?
NOTHING. Absolutely NOTHING. This is not the country I lived in as a child. Not even close. I truly hate living here and cannot wait to leave. Last night's murder just, once again, confirmed that our decision to get the hell out of here is the correct one.

20. Murder by law
Cons everywhere, especially males, are thrilled they were allowed to kill another young minority male...

It excites them, they are bad and sick and immature people and we are all suffering for it.
