Maybe it's time to drop the last line of the Pledge of Allegiance
Edited on Thu Sep-22-11 02:34 AM by tblue
Heck, are we even

one nation? (on a map maybe)
under God? (at least we think it's God!)
indivisible? (tea party, Fox News, Rand Paul, Scott Walker, Kochs, etc.)

Just what are we pledging allegiance to? Or is it just the thing to do?

1. When was it ever true?
The Pledge is to an idea that was never a reality.

3. I generally add the word "sometimes" out loud
Since everyone has generally stopped talking, many around me hear it.
