It was just easier

1) Put someone to death to make the issue go away
2) to demoralize people
3) to have people lose hope
4) people having a feeling of helplessness
5) try make the injustice go away quickly
6) more difficult to to make change to the system
7) just easier on society and our justice system as a whole
8) must be no reasonable doubt because they went ahead with the execution
9) the Supreme Court didn't stop it
10)Just don't have to deal with the possible/proven injustice that takes place.

All are reasons to keep this barbaric practice in place. These are not legal reasons, but they are reasons just the same. It's despicable.

I am very happy that Massachusetts does not have capital punishment, but I feel like every person in the country has some hand in murder every time a prisoner is executed on a state level. And, of course, without doubt we do have responsibility for executions on a federal level.
