There is no excuse, none, for executing people. Morally it is reprehensible. Economically it is more expensive than life in prison. And as far as justice goes, there is no justice in state sanctioned murder.
I don't care if there is no doubt about the guilt, the prisoner should not be a victim of state sanctioned murder. Sadly, all to often there is much more than doubt about a prisoner's guilt. In state after state we have seen innocent men and women put to death.
It is time to put an end to this travesty of justice.
