U.S. Is Korea's Biggest Arms Client
The United States was the biggest buyer of South Korean arms over the last five years. A report released by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration on Wednesday shows that Korea exported arms worth some US$1.8 billion to the U.S. over the period.

The most exported items to Washington were aircraft parts and ammunition.

Turkey was the second largest buyer with $1.4 billion. Indonesia followed, importing $782 million worth of weapons from Korea including the supersonic T-50 trainer jet.

Korea's other major arms buyers include Malaysia, Iraq and Pakistan, and other export goods include armored vehicles, combat cars and machine guns.
