I admit I am the first cynic and pessimist in line pointing out clouds that aren't even on the horizon. In these perilous and uncertain times, it is way too easy to give up, give in, and lie down.

There have been horrible years and uncertainty before. IMHO this is not close to the mishegas of the CivilWar. If I totally give up and too many others do, any semblance of hope for us will be lost. I expect eleventy billion people will point out why and how it's lost already, never to return.

The fight to keep all people with as much equality and freedom as possible is never over and never easy. The alternative in giving up is frightening to comprehend. We have a taste of it now. The PTB count on the beat down and constant need to push back to make people give up.

Mother Jones is my 'hero.' Molly Ivins is close. So WWMJD or WWMD?
