Bought E-85 flex-fuel for the first time yesterday
Edited on Sat Sep-24-11 07:54 AM by Omaha Steve

I know I'm at odds with many on this for environmental issues. I have used ethanol in our cars since about 1977. Back then only 2 small independent stations had it in Omaha. Never have had a problem with it in all these years.

I rented a car Wednesday afternoon since my Cobalt was in the shop. They did a wonderful paint-less repair on the hail damage. We have never owned an E-85 car. It is the first time I've driven and bought E-85 (up to 85 percent ethanol/15 gasoline minimum). Saved about 60 cents a gallon. Drives fine. Cleaner air.

I've very happy with the way Hartford treated us on the car and house hail damage. My neighbors with other companies didn't do so well. My agent got several referrals from us. :-) They are the type of company DUers should want to do business with.

2. The point of a company is to turn a profit.
That said, it can be done in a fair and open manner with respect for the customers.
