well FOREVER..

The religious crazies will NEVER choose a Mormon

and the rest would never choose a Northerner Elite who acts "all smart 'n stuff"..

The ONLY change he ever had at becoming president, was to have become a democrat years ago,, a "moderate" dem CAN become president, but never a moderate republican.,,.

13. I agree ...
My limited experience with Fundamentalist Christians has taught me that many believe that Mormonism is a cult.

I personally have no problem with Mormons as my step dad and mother converted to that religion. Of course, they tried to convert me but that failed mainly because I love strong black coffee, tea, beer and I smoke.

If Jesus converted 120 to 180 gallons of water into wine for a wedding where the guests had already consumed all the wine, it is obvious that he was not opposed to drinking alcoholic beverages. It must have been one hell of a party. Fortunately no one had to drive a car home in those days.

John 2 (New International Version):

6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.

8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

The Bible is a very interesting book to read but few Christians ever really study it.

17. We actually had LDS missionaries come to our school one day
and give a talk about their faith during a "religion" week in our World Culture class, back in 1974.

I asked them about the Cana wine-to-water story, and they tried to explain away that "wine" is one of the ways that the bible was mistranslated throughout the centuries, that it was some other ancient beverage. Yep, that's Mormonism, if the facts disagree with the religion, ignore or explain away the facts!

3. Bizarre, no? The (R) party looks more fractured and extreme at every step.
Small straw poll in Florida, but it'll get press coverage.

8. That pretty much sums it up
They are waiting for a savior but there really isn't anyone that all the factions can agree upon who can also with the GE. I am pretty sure TPTB in the GOP know this.

5. Results
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-cain-florida-straw-poll-20110924,0,4324332.story

Cain received 37% of the vote, more than twice as many as Perry, who made by far the most extensive effort, but finished a distant second with 15%. He barely edged out Mitt Romney, who did not compete here, at 14%. He was followed by Rick Santorum, with 11%; Ron Paul, 10%; Newt Gingrich, 8% and Jon Huntsman, 2%.

Michele Bachmann, who scored a high-profile straw vote victory in Iowa six weeks ago, finished last, with less than 2%. The Minnesota congresswoman also chose not to compete in the Florida ballot.
