Morgan Freeman Calls Out Tea Party as
http://www.eonline.com/news/morgan_freeman_calls_out_tea_party/265849

It's safe to say that one-time pretend U.S. President Morgan Freeman is not a fan of the Tea Party.

After vehemently denying that he provided narration for a Tea Party-supported Republican's attack ad last November, Freeman is blasting the über-conservative political group again, calling their aggressive ambitions "racist":

Just figured everyone would appreciate another voice calling it for what it is.

4. LOTS of people love Morgan Freeman
and that's why I'm glad his comments on the teabaggers are getting some traction. Even around here, people say, 'who cares what so-and-so-celebrity thinks about anything?', but I consider it good when famous people draw attention to important issues.

6. yep! lots and lots of people respect him. so for him to go out and say this, well, that's awesome.
it's true, and that's why such a wise American treasure would say it. Just like Pres. Carter saying our justice system is clearly flawed.

8. Be Careful
I'm no Tea Partier, and there are definite racists elements in
the GOP (which is really the same thing as the Tea Party, the
Tea Party just isn't smart enough to realize it), but we need
to challenge these bafoons on the issues, not just blanket the
group with a term like racism.

9. If the shoe fits... And if they can call the NAACP racist...
...let them deal with the label being applied to them. We can handle their poutrage, I think. And it doesn't mean we stop calling them out on their policies.

So many reasons to adore Morgan Freeman (respect-wise):

1. The Electric Company
2. Driving Miss Daisy
3. Dolphin Tale (I saw this film yesterday. Fabulous as ever!)
4. He's one of US Democrats!

the Tea Party must be racist.

Can't argue with God now, can we?
