It started off as this small snowball, its rolling down the hill, gaining more snow as it goes along, and by the time it hits its our obstacles, it will simply knock them down. It is the greatest force for change, and it will be a different world we live in at the end of this.

It is distributism; real democracy. Learn it. Know it. Feel it.

If you are a tyrant, it's now upon you, you feel its hot breath at the back of your neck. You do not know what next you will feel, just hope that its a damn sight better than what you made others feel under your thumb or beneath your boot.

The people of the world have long pleaded their case with those in power, only to have their suffering ignored. The people who rule us cannot comprehend all of the information necessary in order to do so. They have, however, assumed a great amount of power.

But they only have that power because we gave it to them. We give it to them by laying down our burden. We must take it up once more. I think when we do, we will find that it is much easier to control our destiny than to let someone else do it for us. It is more powerful to do our thinking for ourselves, than to let someone else do it for us. That we all have a different perspective on the truth of this world, each and every truth being valuable in the whole.

We can no longer allow other people to tell us what we should think, we must think for ourselves.

We must own ourselves.

We must be free.

The only time we should join up and form larger units of power is when that might be beneficial to the greater good, and when it should not be, then we should be independent.

Power must be distributed to the masses, not held by some small bureaucracy or oligarchy. Even when we work together, people should have a voice in the decisions made by the group. A fair and equal vote. Not one decided by who has the most money or the most political power.

This is the essence of the democracy many in this world seek out, and we are approaching a time when we might just be able to get it.

And that's amazing.

I think the protest starting in NYC has now become a movement -- perhaps
even worldwide. The world is sick and tired of International corporate
greed, and has finally decided to throw down the guantlet and fight it.

This reminds me of the Vietnam War which initially began as protests,
but grew into a movement, and played a huge role in ending the war.

"Occupy Wall Street" was started mainly by college students, since only
a week ago. It is mushrooming - fast, and even worldwide. So cheer up!
Change has already started, it's just that you havent' heard of it yet.

I irritated a Prof by asking is capitalism didn't have a fatal flaw inherent to it...that flaw being that in its present form it could only survive if there was constant growth of profit, but even if an economy went "global"( unthinkable at that time) growth itself would be finite (we only have one planet to occupy). There was a limit...therefore capitalism itself had to be rethought. I was called a communist sympathizer....damn near flunk the course too.

There has been less and less emphasis on making the pie bigger, and more and more of a scramble to get the biggest slice you can while the getting is good.

The battle over the remains of the US will intensify in the next decade.

The resulting disttibution will be highly unequal.
