I won't be vacationing in New York City, and encourage you to do the same
Edited on Mon Sep-26-11 07:51 AM by votesparks
After seeing those poor women penned in and maced on Youtube, I decided to call Mayor Michael Bloomberg's office this morning to inform them that this Ohioan will be canceling plans to vacation in NYC after what I just saw on Youtube, and will be encouraging my fellow Buckeyes and other flyover country residents to do the same until peaceful protesters are treated peacefully. Another good thing is to call NYC hotel and motel booking managers and inform them of the same.

You think they would treat a Tea Party rally like this?

You can contact the Deputy Mayors, Chief of Staff, Senior Advisor, Communications and Press Officers, and other Senior staff at:

City Hall
New York, NY 10007
(212) 788-3000

Screw all thugs and all who support them.

1. But you can sleep on Wall Street for free!
That's a $200 savings right there.

Time to purchase that pop-up tent I've always wanted. But where can I find one that is pepper-spray and taser resistant?

3. And you won't be flying through Atlanta to get there!
So many boycotts, might as well stay home.

4. That's OK
Ohio is getting ready to get stunningly beautiful with autumn coming on. NYC is a big money-pit anyway, and you never see Amish on the roads there.

6. No kidding...
And that's not even including the boycotts on:

all the Red States (from 2004 I believe)

boycotts on companies/businesses showing Fox News on their TVs

boycotts on products made by companies that support Republican candidates/politicians

boycotts on banks

boycotts on BP (from 2010)

boycotts on Amazon.com

boycotts on any and all products made in China

boycott on Elton John for playing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding

and perhaps another dozen or so I can't even remember.

Let's all just stay home and suck our collective thumbs because the whole world is evil...

12. You forgot AZ. I had a great vacation there last week.
Was hoping for less tourists because of the boycott, but oh well.

22. Huh. See, I didn't even know about that one...
why are we boycotting AZ?

I have a cousin who lives there. May have to disown him if AZ's crime is heinous enough.

25. I believe it had to do with the...
bill that gave police the authority to request proof of citizenship. But God only knows, I can't keep with all the boycotting...I just know it truely is bringing the country and right to its knees.

That's OK. Tomorrow we'll all be pissed off at some other city.

Or maybe five minutes from now.

19. Please stay away and do your part to control carbon emissions
Leisure travel is a significant cause of anthropomorphic global warming and should be avoided if at all possible.

Only travel if you have a legitimate business need to travel.

Stay home!

NYC is a great city. Things happen all over the country and less of those things happen here than other places.

NYC is an awesome city, full of some of the greatest people in the world, a great many of them liberals and Democrats.

Count me out of any NYC boycott.

27. It's already a given on DU that the south is evil, right?
The governors of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana suck so screw the midwest! And don't even get me started on Texas and Florida.

You know what? If you don't want to travel somewhere, don't. You're not breaking any hearts. New York City has survived worse than your staying away from it. So have all the other places I mentioned.
