Republican candidates vie for Fox News chief Roger Ailes’ advice, ear
Republican presidential candidates--current, former and would-be--have been flocking to Fox News' offices to seek the advice of the network's chief executive.

According to Newsweek, which published a lengthy profile of Roger Ailes as part of an upcoming cover story on the Republican debates, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty have each sought out the chief of the top-rated cable network in recent months.
Before Perry announced his 2012 bid, he stopped by Ailes' midtown Manhattan office, and told him he was worried about being able to raise money. "Money will find you if people believe in your message," Ailes assured Perry, according to Newsweek. (Of Perry's presidential stature, Ailes said, "If he tells people he's gonna kick their ass, he might actually do it, which is useful for a president.")

Romney had dinner with Ailes recently, according to Kurtz:

When Romney himself sought out Ailes for a pasta dinner, the Fox chief was struck by a sense of humor rarely displayed in public. "You ought to be looser on the air," he said while dropping off the former Massachusetts governor at his hotel.

1. You know what I'd like to see?
I'd like to see any GOP candidate asked about Fox. What do they do to curry Fox's favor, where - specifically - do they disagree with Fox, and what would they say to Fox about its slanted coverage? Of course, such questions are strictly forbidden, because it would point up the screaming contradiction between the "objective" news outlets and the reality of their coverage.

2. Yeah, know what you are saying but also know those questions will never be asked. What
I don't understand it is such a blatant fact what fox is and that is not a media or news outlet that they can do all of this and no questions or investigation by the FCC. I always thought there was a dividing line where you could go on this stuff.

3. You know what I'd like to see? The next time the President is in
NYC, grab a couple of his SS guys and go right into the offices of Fox, ask the reception person if he could have a word and perhaps take to lunch/dinner Mr. Ailes....Bwahahaha, OMG, can you imagine? I would so love for that to happen. Okay, I fell the other day and am on meds...but still...
