Mainstream media AKA "suckfest"
Have to wonder how much news we'll get today. After the frustrations of wondering why media doesn't notice the Wall Street protest, the televised pictures this morning are just plain discouraging. What are they showing? The swarms of "media" waiting for the trial of Michael Jackson's doctor. Here in Denver we're awaiting a visit from Obama; but we do so with full understanding that a hangnail on any of the Broncos could well pre-empt coverage of the President.

I say again, thank God for the internet!

1. "Mainstream media" is an oxymoron and a RW talking point.
We have corporate media. We do not have media that represents what people consistently report in polls to be their values. Note too that their values are typically RADICALLY DIFFERENT than those of the politicians they claim to support. Explaining how the media pull THAT off would be interesting.
