Strange demonstration outside DC |
|
Last night while driving home, fighting both traffic and a miserable cold, I was forced to behold weirdness. Now this happened in Chevy Chase MD, quiet and residential, on a main Northbound artery just before the Beltway. There were a group of young, good-looking, all-white men, holding a red banner on a pole. I could not see what it said. It looked like one of those things carried around St. Peter's Square in triumph, not what you'd expect to see here. The men were holding up signs saying, Honk to oppose Socialism. Now I suspect their definition of socialism is highly different from mine. Some drivers were honking. These young men were all dressed alike, in some sort of uniform, not one I have ever seen before. I had to drive by quickly, but from what I saw, the uniforms were khaki, had stand-up collars with insignia pinned on. In fact, they looked like Nazis. That's what gave me the willies. Hollywood Nazis, perhaps, but enough to creep one out. Has anyone ever seen them before? Who are they? What do they want? And why do they dress so funny? Anyone know?

I'm sure you have nailed it down. These men were wearing military style uniforms as opposed to suits and ties. Maybe that's their new look. But the red banner on the left? I'd swear under oath, it's the very same one I saw. Thanks! I'm going to have to read up on this bunch. They sure did give me the willies!

14. not at all "medieval": it's a Brazilian cult |
|
Brazil has a long tradition of independent anticommunism--it even taught the US some things, rather than Washington just exporting the Cold War Tradition, Family and Property failed in Brazil--60s-80s most of the priests and prelates got pretty Red

group that uses cultlike religiosity for political purposes that always seem to coincide with the political needs of Bush/New World Order.
The people drawn to TFP haven't a clue that it's popular rise in South America was carefully engineered by puppeteers like Moon/Poppy Bush. Bishop Lefebvre was an outcast in the Catholic Church till Bush and Blair in recent years helped clear his name under the radar.
And now the fascist TFP/Novus Ordo wingnuts control the Papacy.
Interesting tidbit....David Brock's father was also influenced by TFP.

We know Republicons have occultly embraced Rev. Moon (R) as their Second Coming of Crust, and among their mOSt lusted after MegaMoneyBagMen. Now, could it be, he's got his Moonie Goon Squad (R) all gussied up to entice More Suckers to embrace him as teh HOLEee re-intarnation of Jeepers Crust? Ptoooey on all that anti-American Republicon-Moonie fownee balownee. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6Y-NXZmDcxU/R3Hp1mtDSBI/AAAAAAAAAnk/aCx4lqc95Vg/s400/moon+9.jpg

We began the day at Fontainebleau State Park with a hearty breakfast before heading down to the French Quarter of New Orleans. The first order of the day was to visit the beautiful Cathedral of St. Louis IX where we said prayers as a group in front of the Blessed Sacrament. This tour against the dangers of socialism in America has been dedicated to St. Louis, the Crusader King, so the visit was most fitting. Close to the Cathedral is a stunning golden statue of St. Joan of Arc where we said a rosary of reparation for the sins of New Orleans while four TFP volunteers handed out “10 Reasons to Reject Socialism” flyers to the curious passersby. http://www.tfpstudentaction.org/what-we-do/news-and-updates/tfp-volunteers-tour-louisiana-to-oppose-socialism.html

13. Do they ever stop eating???? |
|
They talk so much about food, you'd think they did not know that gluttony is among the Seven Deadly Sins! Seriously, with all their talk of CRUSADER SAINTS and MANLY PIETY, they need to get away from that table. And more seriously, what with the banners and the Sig Heil creepy uniforms, this was taking place a bit too close to Temple Emmanu-El. Far too close to the High Holy Days. Were I Jewish, I would have had a freakin' coronary!
