Must Watch: GREAT Lawrence O'Donnell coverage of the police brutality in NYC..... |
Great discussion by Lawrence of what the police get away with "Every Day" in this country. (His words not mine)! http://thelastword.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/09/26/7978720-rewriting-police-vs-protesters

3. Well, good if he related it to things that go on every day |
Because I rarely see a thread here bemoaning the daily abuses of power by the police that go far beyond some pepper spray. I frankly have been a little miffed at the concern for (mostly privileged) protesters, when every day it seems I read in the paper about some innocent teenager who was shot and killed by the police or a group of people who were beaten to a pulp.

6. I'm talking about the people whose names you've never heard |
and will never know. And they are poor and usually black. And young. And nobody cares about them when the police decide they look "threatening" and gun them down. That's what I was talking about.

7. If we really had a news industry in this country, or better, a real |
liberal media as the right so often claims, instead of corporate stenographers who only serve the needs of other corporate interests, we would be seeing similar news reports on every news channel.
