Billionaire claims he and the other super rich are carrying the nation on their backs!
Billionaire Owner of Washington Wizards Wants Obama to Stop Calling Him Rich
By: Blue Texan
September 27, 2011

Looks like Ted Leonsis, the billionaire who owns the Washington Wizards, got his fee-fees hurt when the President said all those mean things about rich people having to pay more taxes.

Economic Success has somehow become the new boogie man; some in the Democratic party are now casting about for enemies and business leaders and anyone who has achieved success in terms of rank or fiscal success is being cast as a bad guy in a black hat. This is counter to the American Dream and is really turning off so many people that love American and basically carry our country on their back by paying taxes and by employing people and creating GDP.

I love the part when Leonsis claims that he’s “basically” carrying the country on his back.

Ted Leonsis watches his shitty basketball team while simultaneously carrying the nation on his back.

2. Hire workers and create jobs
Create jobs, new jobs, here in America at a living wage.

Do it no matter what your spreadsheets or piece of shit actuaries say. Create new jobs here in America, and then you can say you are carrying the nation.

6. Make no mistake! This man feels this way because he listens to Rush or
watches FOX News. The "Big Lie" of the season is that 47% of Americans pay no federal income tax. You hear it everywhere now. I have heard that exact percentage at least a dozen times in the last few weeks from folks. They are not spontaneously coming to the same statistic. It is being carefully placed there by the very, very effective right wing media.

15. and you can go check the irs web page to know that stat is bogus.
Edited on Tue Sep-27-11 11:10 PM by DrunkenBoat
unless of course they mean 47% of *all* americans, including children & the unemployed.

but if they mean people filing income tax, tain't so.

where did that stat come from?

never seen the source when i've seen it cited.

30. LOL - Ted Leonsis does not need to listen to Rush - he owns Rush.
Rush Lumbaugh and the like are for the peasants to listen to. Leonsis is a billionaire - folks like Rush listen to him when they aren't too busy kissing his ass.

8. Oh the poor babies---remind them they hold 79 percent ,73 Percent
of ALL the MONEY.

This means the whole rest of the country has only 27%
of all the money. Hundreds of Thousands of us have
to divy up just 23 per cent.

Since they are the job creators, would they like it better
to pay workers higher and living weages. If the large
numbers are making living wages, they can pay taxes and
the Rich can have lower taxes.

This seems to be a fair trade????

He would probably die pretty quickly. These rich assholes forget all the "little" people who work so hard to make their lives easier- they are invisible, poor and increasingly angry.

17. well, when he's right, he's right
I mean they create all these great jobs, where people don't even have to work, much less produce any profits for a corporation. We all just sit around all day surfing the web for $35 an hour plus benefits, plus 27 paid holidays and 15 weeks of paid vacation every year and another 15 weeks of paid sick leave.

The top 1% gives all of that to the bottom 99%, and they ask so little for themselves. I mean, all they want is 50% of the national income, and for it to be tax free, and 90% of the wealth and to be able to pass that on to their deserving children tax free when they die. Considering all that they do for us, is that really so much to ask?

Are we 99% really so greedy and ungrateful that we won't even give them that? Have we no decency? At long last, have we no decency????/???

What a pompous ass. Carrying us? Please. He needs to just PUT US DOWN. We don't want or need to be 'carried' by the likes of him.

PUT US DOWN, Ted, get in line, and pay your fucking taxes...just like the rest of us do!!!

The only thing that boy is carrying is an undeserved attitude of entitlement.

26. Billionaires are like Fugu, deadly if not exquisitely prepared but a rare delicacy.
The toxic part is the brain, the heart would be too but they lack that organ so it doesn't have to be removed.
