Sarah Palin calls 'Herm Cain' the 'flavor of the week' ...
Edited on Wed Sep-28-11 09:18 AM by one_voice
The indefatigable Juana Summers sends over this dispatch from Sarah Palin's appearance with Greta Van Susteren, in which she took a shot at Herman Cain (whom she called "Herm" at one point) days after his Florida straw poll win:

“Take Herman Cain. He’s doing so well right now. I guess you could say, with all due respect, he’s the flavor of the week. Herman Cain is the one up there who doesn’t look like he’s part of that permanent political class. He came from a working class family. He’s had to make it on his own all these years. We respect that. He has an automatic connection with the electorate. We can all relate to him. He knows the issues and problems we face every day and he’s determined to do something about it.”

“He’s not elite. He doesn’t seem to allow us to be disenchanted with what it is that he’s proposing, because what he proposes in terms of solutions for our economy are based on time tested truths and common sense and true economic principles that will work”

“Herman Cain is a good example of a connection with the voters and why his message – good messenger – he’s resonating with the people.”

As for her own plans, she gave no indication, acknowledging that "for logistical reason, decisions do have to be made," she said. "You have to get your ducks in order."

She trotted out a line she's used before - going back, as JMart points out, at least a year to her fall appearance in Iowa - where she asked this question, "Does a title shackle a person...I do go rogue and tell it like it is."

1. She means he is popular right now, but he wasn't before, and he may not be
latter. That is all she is saying with that comment.

4. I think it sounds condescending...
she's a self-absorbed narcissist, and doesn't care what she sounds like to other people.

2. She Wants To Be "Queenmaker"...
I'll bet Grifterella watches those debates and is very happy she doesn't have to be out there to face any real scrutiny. It's far easier to hide in your little teevee studio and orchestrate who you talk to so that you can continue to get attention. She doesn't want to be President...she wants to be Donald Trump. She'd love to have each candidate kiss her little pinky to get that cherished photo op (but no endorsement...only Bible Spice is worthy). She can play "Svenghali" as if a candidate wins then she can claim she was responsible and try to shake the great unhinged down once again.

Running for President is hard work...its so much easier when you can play rushpublican teaser...

9. "We can all relate to him" - Who is this "we," Sarah? Are you that whacked out of your melon that

you're using the royal "we" when talking about yourself?

22. Herman Cain USED to run pizza shops
He got picked to run Godfather's because he did so well as a Burger King district manager.

The problem is Cain doesn't actually know how to FIX anything. He analyzes a business' operations, finds everything that isn't profitable, and just gets rid of it. This ain't gonna translate to governance because, strangely enough, most of what the government does runs at what a businessman would consider a loss, including things like the army.

Now he makes his coin writing right-wing newspaper editorials.

17. I wonder what she will do to keep the publicity going when she (finally) announces she's not running
for president? My guess is that she will begin to threaten to run as an Independent on a Tea Party type ticket so she can continue to the attention she craves.
