I had to throw in the traditional Yiddish way of greeting others for the holidays, since we're sliding back into the Steve and Edye era!
When I was growing up, this is how everyone greeted each other (Gut Shabbos (with an s), and Gut Yontif), because our grandparents spoke mainly Yiddish and were from Eastern Europe. It wasn't until the late 60s, in my recollection, that Yiddish started to be frowned upon as Hebrew took over.) I salute my ancestors by including the Yiddish they spoke for so many hundreds of years.
So, Happy New Year to all, and may peace and sweetness be in your lives.
