It's the grass roots they fear. |
|
Rachel talked about this last night. The difference between #occupywallstreet and the Tea baggers. Tea baggers are astroturf - no grass and no roots - bought and paid for fake grass.
#occupywallstreet is the real thing, a grass roots movement - what Wall Street and the US Chamber of Commerce have spent millions and millions to try to prevent. Common cause. There is one cause - Occupy Wall Street. They screwed us. They screwed us in different ways - but they screwed us.
You see people sliding left now, Snotty Scotty Walker, Christ Christie, the MEdia, 'n even President Obama (found his walking shoes that went missing during Wisconsin, 'though he hasn't used them yet). Some of that is because the Thug Party has turned into a Clown Car, but some of it is because the grass roots are starting to grow.
Dear Wall Street/Chamber of Commerce - you can spend a lot of money trying to keep the grass out. Anyone who has worked outside where grass grows 'though knows how easy it is for the grass to take over the plots you have carefully prepared. You can mow it, spray it, pull it, cover it with fake grass - it comes back. It goes dormant at times, but it comes back. Y U No Like Grass?
First they ignore you, then they mock you, then they fight you, then you win.
/rant off.
#occupywallstreet, #ourwallstreet.

4. wisonsin was organized by facebook and other social media |

although outside money was a factor it was the grassroots organization that created the success in wisconsin. it was interesting to watch the white house machine distance itself from the events in wisconsin knowing full well that many of those people worked for him in 2008. i received a mailer from obama`s chicago staff wondering if i`d contribute to the obama "grassroots campaign" ...i don`t think so. i`m putting my money my house candidate.

5. Indeed. On my Facebook page, I posted the following comment: |
|
Our corporatocracy fears the Occupy Wall Street movement more than the Tea Party Express. The evidence is in the news coverage and also how differently the Occupy Wall Street protesters are treated. The Occupy Wall Street movement isn't astro turf. No billionaires back it.
