Border fences: Not exactly a 'new' idea |
|
From the Mobile Press Register archives:
Monday, Sept. 28, 1936: • "LA PRYOR, Texas, -- A high wire fence along the Texas-Mexico border to supplement the Rio Grande as a dividing line, will be sought by the Border Stock Raisers' Protective Association. ... "The fence, the resolution said, would 'hinder smuggling, retard aliens entering the United States unlawfully and prevent movement of livestock into the country with infectious or contagious animal diseases.' :-)

2. Will it also keep dangerous guns from entering Mexico from an irresponsible U.S.? |
|
Unlikely. So screw the fence and control the guns in the U.S.
