I am not very good at math but:

President Obama + $1 Billion Dollars + Whack job for the GOP candidate = Landslide win for President Obama

It is that simple. And I like good hard fought close elections too. But the GOP is going to deny us of that with their sheer stupidity. They are actually going to nominate one of these assclowns as their candidate. Think about that.

Choose any possible candidate for president out there. I can think of a dozen hard hitting issues that would sink any one of them with in about five minutes. They are all rejects from somewhere. Not one of them dingbats is qualified to tie their own shoes much less be president of the free world.

This is going to be a boring election. At least we are going to win.

1. What's sadder is that $2 billion is spent on an election in a so-called democracy.

5. Cheer up it might be close...
There are a lot of stupid people out there. Some of them think the President has a huge affect on the economy ( he doesn't not even GW did, but he had a congress that was more than happy to screw the american public) so if the economy doesn't improve some might blame Obama. But, the sad fact is that Obama while he hasn't done a whole lot to turn it around kept us from a depression which is where we are still heading if one of those ass clowns gets elected. Anyway, where was I... oh yeah there are enough stupid people out there to make it a close race.

15. Exactly. POTUS has no problem raising a billion from 'donors' ...
to run a slick media campaign but can't seem to get anyone to pay more in taxes to keep what's left of the middle and lower class from turning into a third world country.

2. There's still a lot of time for the R's to reject these assclowns in favor of
an assclown who might have wider appeal - like a Jeb Bush. Not outside the realm of possibility. The fact that his dumbass brother made it close enough to steal tells me all I need to know about the stupidity of the American electorate. It could happen again.

Then suddenly, he was President.

7. Me too, and we got stuck with the asshole for 8 years.
Never underestimate the evilness of the Republican Party or the dumbness of the American people, that's what I learned from Election 2000 and 2004.

These cats are serious, and play the LONG game.

They are playing for 2016 already, and it's just an unexpected bonus for them if Creepy Mitt somehow wins next year.

18. Whatever Whack Job the Repigs Nominate Will Likely Have $5 or $10 Billion
Have you forgotten about "Citizens United"?
The Republicans get unlimited corporate money now.

And what makes you think Obama will actually be able to raise a billion dollars?
Can you afford to donate twice as much as you did in 2008? I'm sure I can't.

20. there are many other elections also, plus there is no gaurantee we will win thePresidential election
it will take a lot of hard work.

hopefully there is some way Cain can win the nomination so we can win the presidential race easily and put focus on winning the house and senate and all the other state races.

25. Maybe but the money is a non-factor if the money people don't want it to be a factor.
There can be an endless pile of shadow ca$h deployed from the blatant to soft messaging in TV shows, movies, and even commercials. The question is how much do they care. I think not so much, they'd prefer to not have to go through the motions but it does have the rather substantial benefit of helping the mass distraction tremendously.

Sadly, if the election gets close enough, we might just see another incident in which Diebold or some other company mysteriously 'misplaces' or 'miscounts' a few votes here & there, and if we have enough of an incompetent Supreme Court in 2000, we could REALLY be in trouble.

And not to mention the fools who would stay home on Election Day(barring, of course, some kind of emergency or whatever.). That might be a problem as well.
