It is because even they realize that the group they currently have running is made up of complete 100% assclowns who couldn't get elected president even if their life depended on it. The more they see and hear them the more they realize that they are screwed and tattooed as soon as they nominate one of them. These people are definitely ignorant but they are not stupid. They can see the handwriting on the wall.

That is why.

4. Some information..
Obama's approval rating was at 39% yesterday. No president since Truman has been reelected with approval ratings that low this late into his first term.

So, while you can rightly say the Republicans have a lot of sad candidates...I highly doubt they see any "handwriting on the wall"..What they see is a big opportunity.

6. Come back and tell me what that approval rating is after one of these clowns is their nominee
Americans have seen a lot of anti-Obama ads already.

Wait until we start running some ads against one of these asscarrots.

I think you will get a much clearer picture then.

Big opportunity? LOL.

9. I hate to repeat myself..
but the fact remains..no president since Truman has been reelected with approval ratings this low this late into their first term..

All you're doing is speculating. While I'm pointing out that history shows us Obama faces an uphill battle..

10. Believe what you wish..
but not only doesn't Obama's low approval ratings bode well for next year, but no president since FDR has won a second term with unemployment figures anywhere near where they are currently..Democrats who discount these facts do so at their own peril..

and let me be more specific: no president since FDR has won a second term when the unemployment rate on election day topped 7.2%. Even the WH expects unemployment to be in the neighborhood of 9% come election day 2012..

15. Lets try one more time..
There are two different facts at play here. I'm sure you can manage.

1. No president since Truman has been reelected with approval ratings as low as Obama currently has this late into their first term.

2. No president since FDR has been reelected with unemployment above 7.2% come election day..

...which is a small sample space.

16. I think it speaks volumes that the frontrunners of the race are always the people who are not in it.

Every time a new candidate enters, the GOP circular firing squad (tm) blows them to pieces. Bachmann was the frontrunner then Perry came in and knocked her off. Now its Christie who is poised to enter. After he enters it will be Palin. Theres always room for another clown in the car.
