Is Google censoring the AmpedStatus #OccupyWallStreet report?
Seems the homesite, ampedstatus.com, isn't showing up when you Google it...

http://ampedstatus.org/google-censors-our-occupywallstreet-report/

Looks like we may have passed the "then they laugh at you" part of "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win" thing (Gandhi). That was quick.

2. Yet another self-aggrandizing cry of "Censorship! Censorship!"
Some people will do anything to try to attract attention.

4. We don't know yet if it's true or not. Twitter and Yahoo! have already been caught censoring and
youtube had some weird moments yesterday as well.

13. No, we know very obviously that it's not true. Because it's not true.
Don't believe me?

http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=amped+status&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&channel=suggest

It's right there, plain as day, that their claims their site isn't showing up are total bullshit.

3. That's why I phrased the OP as a question: Gotta make sure it's true before saying it is...
But...I don't know why the originating site would not show up in the same day as posted, after searching what did they say, 20 pages deep? Weird.

6. I have no idea, but I'd never heard of that site before your post.
The title, however, shows up all over the web, so it's not as though Google is trying to suppress it. Someone may have typed it in wrong or something. It took me 30 seconds to test this and demonstrate that they are incorrect.

20. As the article points out, many sites DO show the news about the report
but Amped Status as author of report does NOT show up.
ie: the report on the Amped Status page is not linked.
AND
Again, as the article pointed out, Google inadvertently made the report more viral since it shows so many of the other sites that did link to it.
( You DID read the article to see the definition of the problem, yes?)

5. Is this some new "cry wolf" form of advertising? I've seen
"Is (google, facebook,twitter)censoring....." many times lately.

8. And now, this thread is near the top of the search.
Apparently claiming that Google is censoring your site does, indeed, get your site noticed.

Maybe I'll try that on my web content writing business site. It might just work.

I could post here about Google censoring my site, and it would soon be posted on Google. Cool idea!

12. Oddly, it didn't also work for ampedstatus.com...this complaint gets hits but not theirs?

10. For a minute, twitter and yahoo DID censor. We have to make sure it doesn't repeat or spread.

11. Bingo!
Google doesn't care what's on the web. They just want you to see their ads. Political content is a matter of no interest to Google.

19. Okay, but that would include ampedstatus also not knowing how google works.
I confirmed their finding, perhaps they were wrong? It would be a shame as the report to which they refer is extremely important.
