“HANDS OFF – NO CUTS” to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid:

Advocates to Demonstrate at Illinois Tea Party Convention

Volunteers from the “HANDS OFF - NO CUTS” campaign, a multi-million dollar effort of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, will partner with allies from across Illinois to illustrate Americans’ broad support of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Advocates will demonstrate at TeaCon 2011, a gathering of Tea Party members and Republican candidates, this Saturday in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare recently launched the “HANDS OFF-NO CUTS” campaign to stop threatened cuts to three of the nation’s most valued income security and health insurance programs; Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Campaign activities will be focused on members of Congress and the 12-member Deficit Reduction Super Committee and will include local and national radio and TV advertising, town halls, social media, petition drives, phone campaigns, and local or regional events.
