Dallas to open lactation station on Thursday

DALLAS — The City of Dallas Women Infant and Children (WIC) Program will open the first Lactation Resource and Training Center in the DFW area. A ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for the new Center will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, December 16 at 2600 Stemmons Freeway.

The Lactation Care Center will serve as an outpatient breastfeeding clinic for postpartum women and patients being discharged from the hospital neonatal units who are WIC participants or eligible for WIC Program participation by providing free breastfeeding consultations by a registered lactation consultant.

8. wow...I just assumed all hospitals had a breast feeding center

in them. when my little ones were born at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, NC we were immediately given info on the type of assistance/products they offered...
