Barbara Mikulski, the longest serving, and first Democratic, woman senator was inducted earlier tonight into the Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, NY, birthplace of the American Women's movement.

By the way, she started out as a community organizer, too, many years ago. She was fighting a freeway that threatened her neighborhood. That got her, eventually, to the Baltimore City Council. He friends and her political adversaries all got behind her as she started her rise. She quite a woman.
