|
sounds like move on's answer to occupy wall street, but more low key and non-confrontational.

2. Local Channel 5 (Seattle) carried the story - interviewed a 90-year old couple protesting |

SEATTLE – Members of group calling itself “Occupy Seattle” gathered at Westlake Center downtown on Saturday. About 150 people chanted "End corporate welfare, we are the 99 percent."
The group, an off-shoot of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, planned to form affinity groups and work groups. Huddled in small groups, they got to know each other.
“It is important to say what we are for and against,” said Kshama Sawant. “We are against big business and politicians. We want voices to be heard.”
“There's no leaders, it's an organic growth and the ideas that come out are really inspiring,” said Albert Postema.
In New York City, a group has been camping out in a park near Wall Street for two weeks to protest economic disparity and corporate influence.
In Union Square, more than 1,000 people rallied Saturday in an event to call attention to sexual violence against women.
