JP Morgan Chase donated $4.6 million to the NYPD
"New York City Police Foundation — New York JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple. The money will pay for 1,000 new patrol car laptops, as well as security monitoring software in the NYPD’s main data center.

NYC Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie a note expressing 'profound gratitude' for the company's donation."

6. They don't get their egos pumped up that way

Nor do they get special treatment by paying through taxes.

11. They want the allegiance that comes with giving the money direct. If that money
were to come to the police through taxes then the police would feel goodwill towards government instead of corporations. It is all about who is going to be the 'big man'. It is all about allegiance.

4. Bloomberg
I ask again. Why does Bloomberg's name never come up? He is the mayor, after all, and ultimately in charge of the NYPD. He's also a huge player in the financial industry. Why does he get treated with white gloves?

8. OMG...these corporate thugs think...

...they can buy every damn thing!

They've bought our politicians--now they're going to purchase the cops.

These chumps can buy off all of the institutions that they want---but they can't
buy the one institution that will defeat them...WE THE PEOPLE!

14. Yep. That's how they do it.
First they bought the politicians, and next, they buy the police.

And to top it off, the people's grandchildren will have to foot the bill... if they can...

No wonder none of them are in jail...
