I wish I was in New York--and that I had a bull horn! |

After watching the Brooklyn Bridge incident, it is clear that the powers-that-be are out to position the protesters as enemies. The neocon corporatists will use Bloomberg, the NYPD, the media and other manipulations to tease out the desired behaviors to obtain the results that they desire.
All in an effort to stop this.
If you analyze what happened with Officer Bologna and the pepper spray--you can see that the police have changed strategies. They thought they could begin with police brutality. They thought that they could pepper spray, slam people to the ground and use brutal tactics to quell this movement.
But what happens when you've got thousands of cell-phone cameras filming all of this? Individual officers get identified and vilified. The footage is slowed down and goes viral--and all of a sudden people are sympathizing with the protesters. Now the movement grows--as more groups declare their support.
Police brutality caused the Wall Street protest to grow. The protesters won the PR war in that chapter--even without the mainstream media. So, what do you do when that happens--if your goal is to shut down this protest?
You shift strategy--which has undoubtedly happened.
Did you notice any police brutality at all during the Brooklyn Bridge incident? Not at all. The collective demeanor of those cops--including the ones in the white shirts--had completely shifted. They were gentle when they took people away. CNN has blacked out Wall Street protest stories. Their first story focused on how the protesters blocked traffic, refused to move--and that these nice officers only "ticketed" the protesters.
Isn't that so nice of those New York City police officers? ...that's what they want you to think. They realized that police brutality only made the protesters heroes and villianized the police--so they've got to turn this thing around.
So what did they do? The police led those protesters onto the Brooklyn Bridge. Hundreds who were there have said this is what happened. Then the protesters were "kettled" and suddenly--they were in the wrong for being on the bride and blocking traffic.
Oh those inconsiderate, reckless kids! Why...the police had no choice but to arrest them! And by the way, look how nice those officers were to those protesters. See how that works?
I wish I could remind all of the protesters that strategy has shifted. You may be the "99 percent" but the top 1 percent has in their pocket--the New York Police Department, Mayor Bloomberg, most politicians, the entire mainstream media. Most likely, they've got tricks up their Brooks Brothers sleeves.
The message is--Don't allow yourselves to be led *ANYWHERE* by the police department. Also, do not be manipulated into violence. They will try to stoke out bad behavior--and they've got cameras too--and they're just waiting to use an isolated incident to take this whole thing down. Their videos can go viral too and they've got the entire MSM that will carry their slogans, soundbytes and messaging.
These people are ruthless. The protesters can't forget that. These are the people who have made torture a national sport. They love endless war and the people in a war-targeted country--are mere insects. They'll destroy our planet, allow a killer drug to fly through FDA approvals, retain a healthcare system that kills poor people and protect tax breaks for billionaires while they shut off home-heating subsidies for your grandmother.
These are vicious, sociopathic people. And you have just now mounted a challenge against them. Please be careful. Please keep your cameras and cell phones rolling. Please don't follow "Officer Friendly" over a bridge or down a dark alley.
They're afraid of you now. They're also talking about you--behind the scenes--and strategizing about how to best stop you. So be prepared. We've witnessed their ruthlessness, lies and abuse of power--as they've dismantled our democracy--so be prepared for them to apply those same manipulations against you and your brave efforts.

out in force, too, to incite or encourage violence. Beware. Be careful. Thank you. >>>> I AM THE 99% <<<<

...and we know that staging violence with their own "actors"--isn't beneath them.

The PTB would love for the protesters to turn this into a "hippies vs. cops" game...taking the focus away from who these people are there to protest about and attempt to hold accountable. As has been noted on several threads the arrests should serve to draw attention to the protest, not the protesters. The focus has to remain on the Wall Street robber barons.

If the powers that be can make this about the protesters--as they make the protesters look bad--they've succeeded.
I think things are different this time.
Americans are mad as hell--and they're not going to take it any more.
