I think the Wall Street protesters should sing this...
Edited on Sun Oct-02-11 10:53 PM by CoffeeCat
...in unison. Yeah, it's a twisted fantasy. But it's my twisted fantasy.

Love these lyrics, and I can't imagine--at this point in time--anymore more
poignant and beautiful than thousands of Wall Street protesters singing it.

Read the lyrics...they're awesome!

Just spreading some love.

******LYRICS*****
High time we made a stand and shook up
The views of the common man
and the love train rides from coast to coast
d.j.´s the man we love the most

Could you be, could you be squeaky clean
and smash any hope of democracy?

As the headline says you´re free to choose
there´s an egg on your face and mud on your shoes
One of these days they´re gonna call it the blues

And anything is possible when you´re
sowing the seeds of love
Anything is possible
sowing the seeds of love

I spy tears in their eyes
they look to the skies for some kind
of divine intervention
Food goes to waste!
so nice to eat, so nice to taste
Politician grannie with your high ideals
have you no idea how the majority feels?
so without love and a promised land
we´re fools to the rules of a government plan
kick out the style: bring back the jam

Anything is possible when...

Sowing the seeds
The birds and the bees
My girlfriend and me in love

Feel the pain
Talk about it
If you´re a worried man
...then shout about it
Open hearts
...feel about it
Open minds
...think about it
Everyone
...read about it
Everyone
....scream about it!
Everyone
Everyone
Everyone
Read about it
Read about it
Read it in the books in the crannies
And the nooks there are books to read

1. And, speaking of Tears For Fears, this would work as a march chant:
Edited on Sun Oct-02-11 10:56 PM by Ken Burch
Shout! Shout!
Let It All Out!
These Are The Things
I Can Do Without
Come on, I'm Talking To You
Come on!

(It can easily be adapted and specified
to the situation).

2. That's awesome....
That would be a great chant, as you said--and also great on a protest sign!

In your own backyard...

In your own hometown...

6. yah, and then this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMrl8SWWH3g&feature=related

Stand
In the end you'll still be you
One that's done all the things you set out to do
Stand
There's a cross for you to bear
Things to go through if you're going anywhere
Stand
For the things you know are right
It s the truth that the truth makes them so uptight
Stand
All the things you want are real
You have you to complete and there is no deal
Stand. stand, stand
Stand. stand, stand
Stand
You've been sitting much too long
There's a permanent crease in your right and wrong
Stand
There's a midget standing tall
And the giant beside him about to fall
Stand. stand, stand
Stand. stand, stand
Stand
They will try to make you crawl
And they know what you're saying makes sense and all
Stand
Don't you know that you are free
Well at least in your mind if you want to be

Everybody
Stand, stand, stand
